Privacy policy

Who we are
RecapOptions (recapoptions.com) is an EXITstrategies program run by ExitStrategies.com. We advise owners of service businesses on selling all or part of their company. This policy covers what you send us through this site and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you type into the form: your name, email, company, role, type of business, state, approximate revenue and earnings, timing, what you want to explore, and any optional details you add.
- Your phone number and consent choice, only if you give them. The phone field is optional.
- Your worksheet answers, if you used the chooser on the page, so the advisor can see what you compared.
- Where the visit came from: the page address, the page that sent you here, and any campaign tags in the link (for example, from an ad).
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider may log your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure, and the page's fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when it delivers them. This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
If you reach us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta hosts that form and passes your answers to us. Meta's own privacy policy covers what Meta collects.
Why we collect it
To reply to your inquiry, to set up a first conversation, and to judge whether we can help with what you want to do. If you agreed to calls or texts, we use your number to contact you about your inquiry. We do not use it for anything else.
Who receives it
- Our team at ExitStrategies.com and the advisors who handle your inquiry.
- The service providers we use to run the business: our CRM, our email provider and, if you agreed to texts, our calling and text provider. They handle your details for us, not for themselves.
- Buyers, only with your say-so. Nothing goes to any buyer unless you authorize it, and identifying details are shared only after a buyer signs an NDA.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your inquiry for as long as we need it to talk with you and to keep ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your choices
- See or delete your details: email info@exitstrategies.com and we will tell you what we hold, correct it or delete it.
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any text. Calls or texts stop when you tell us by any reasonable means.
- Stop emails: reply to any email and ask us to stop.
Security
Form answers travel over an encrypted connection and are kept in password-protected business accounts with access limited to the people who need them. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send financial statements or account numbers through the form.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
